Great blocks, SBG. Please continue the progress you are making and sharing with us. Lovely job.

THank you, Sue!

Oh, yeah! That green and brown block is great! The contrast really sets it off well. Anyway, I really like the green fabric, sore ot a vintage type print, very nice. Your saddle and rope fabric is cute too.

Thanks! Did you recognize the block on the saddle one? It's the same (I think) as you used for everyone's Boom block.

I switched gears tonight and didn't do any pony blocks. Instead I got out pattern and fabric I"ve had for years, to make a Jinny Beyer illusion quilt. Will try and get that top made before I return to the PC blocks.

I love Jinny Beyer and her quilt designs. Since she lost her husband, she has been re-thinking her business and has decided to let her shop go and just ship internet orders from a different location. I have two of her patterns, and doing them is on my bucket list. Eleanor Burns first got me interested into quilting, and I brought every book of hers that I afford. We quilted as a family project back in the early seventies. Then I came to admire Bonnie Hunter, all the energy that she has and doing so much with her life and encouraging others to quilt. Finally, I am finishing her 'Frolic' pattern, completing one corner, and getting to see what it will look like. But more sewing needs to be done to finish the quilt. All the 'framing' of each square needs to come next, and I like what I am seeing. I just want to finish it but it will take more sewing to do that. Then I can start another project???? maybe.

I agree QNS. Bonnie Hunter's designs involve a lot of sewing... and cutting too, for that matter. I've decided I have enough Bonnie Hunter quilts. I have three on beds, and sold two.

I have the Lover's Knot book by Eleanor Burns and that quilt has been on my bucket list for quite a while. It's just hard for me to think in terms of only 3 fabrics and white, when I am such a scrappy girl!

Oooooo post a picture of the Lover's Knot. I remember liking that pattern when I saw it. Instead of limited fabrics, can't you go scrappy with colors? Or scrappy with lights and darks? Or would that ruin it?

Waiting for your Frolic picture, QNS. Of course you will start another! :-)

Not sure about scrappying up the Lover’s Knot, but will think on it. https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/smile.png
