Another beautiful block Teen!
Sorry to hear you have to attend a funeral.
Your Sylvia will still be there once you finished your 'duties'. Don't be too hard on yourself.......;)

Thanks for the compliments. Yes, Fairyland is a pattern, in fact it's a pattern book and a separate set of embroidery designs.

DonnaPea, you blocks are coming out wonderful. You have a lovely stash to choose from.

Teen, another great block. You are almost there. I'm so sorry for your loss. As Anael said, your "Sylvia" will be there when you get back to it.

Anael, your Fairy quilt is darling. And, I love the colors you used in it. It just seems the perfect blend between embroidery and piecing. You do beautiful work.

Teen, I love your G-9. The colors are just perfect together. You're almost there...

Thank you, all! I cut out 4 blocks last night so hopefully I can knock a couple out today. It is suppose to rain here Saturday and, if so, sewing day to finish. Maybe I can start assembling a few rows. Wouldn't that be exciting?

I've been lurking on this thread and just want to say I LOVE all these lovely blocks!!!! I thinking of maybe joining you later this year, once I finish up a few more quilts in the works.

Donna - nice blocks! you are making good progress

Teen - you are almost to the finish line - at least with the blocks. then comes the fun of putting them all together.

Anael, you asked about my border. I looked online for ideas, and thought about doing something with a trianlge sort of like Dear Jane - but then decided I really didn't want to deal with a lot more peicing so went with a traingle and added additional "peaks" for interest.

I used 1.5" wide strips and sewed on the diagonal, I cut out templates for the center part that is a bit wider. Then I sewed each side group and cut them on the diagonal to match the triangle. It's a 45 degree triangle so was easy to deal with as far as cutting.

NZ....this is a great project to fill in between other projects. I, obviously, didn't do this because it's not in my DNA. Lol! Even though I will likely be done with mine, I will come back and cheer you on and gush over your work. You sew beautifully so I'm quite sure your blocks will be awesome.

Macybaby...maybe assembling this weekend...at least the start of it. I have not laid the blocks out yet. It's killing me. Lol!

NZquilter, that would be great!!!! We will be waiting for you here :)

Thanks Macebaby for the explanation. Once one sees how you did it it isn't that hard.........:D It reminded me of Jane!
