Seams going the wrong way is my problem too with PP. I try to iron them the right way after sewing or iron them open, that way you won't have that problem.

Thanks Anael for the offer of doing the email, must say i'm not much better in that department. Was happy I figured out how to post a picture. I'm going to try and post another one with red x's on some of the problem areas. I can't press the seams to one side or open because of the seam sewn and the paper. I sure don't like both seams going the same direction. I didn't have that problem with your foundation for the kansas troubles block. All the seams nested correctly.[ATTACH=CONFIG]466257[/ATTACH]

Wump..I'd press some of those seams open, it will help take some of the bulk out of the crossed seams.

I would press some of the seams open too. With Mother's Delight after sewing one section together you can press the middle seam open. Or don't sew into the 1/4" seam in the middle of the block. When you sew all sections together the seams will open like a flower and lay flat. Does it make sense? I don't know how to explain otherwise.

Wump, try this: after sewing the one fourth inch seam, take the paper off of that seam (just the quarter inch seam outside), and finger press it open before sewing the next seam, and so on. When you finish and take off paper, spray with Best Press and touch it with an iron to press open the seams. Don't iron by pressing down and moving sideways, just touch the seam with the iron, lift up and come straight down to touch the seam again. It will press out beautifully that way.

Thanks Anaeland QNS I'll do that on the seams I can on these two blocks and call it good. Future blocks will receive the treatment suggested. QNS I am guilty of ironing instead of pressing:o To many years of sewing and still iron DH shirts. I do try to press though
