    Default QB Block-of-the-Month, July 2013 - Blackford's Beauty - Directions & Discussion

Wow! I am sooooooo red in the face!

Marytodd asked me to post her selection because she had to leave town on a family emergency.
I reminded myself on Sunday, then completely forgot yesterday.

Many, many, many abject apologies for the delay.

    The instructions are here:

Very good choice Marytodd, this is one of my favorite blocks. I've made it in Christmas colors and was beautiful. It will be fun to see what it looks like in the colors I'm using for this BOM.

Thanks Patrice, I just popped in for a second, I am back home but this week we are camping! luckily for me there was a spill (Koolaid landed in someones back pack of clothes! not good) and I live only 15 minutes from camp ground so I am home doing a load of laundry! Wow is it ever hot! I have pictures on my album, will transfer it over on the weekend or if I have to come back for any other spills! it is cool to get out of the heat for a minute!

I want to put this quilt together QAYG too. Did you already quilt your other blocks or are you doing six at a time? I'm subscribed to the QAYG thread on this board but haven't tried a project yet.

I have two blocks quilted. I'll quilt this one and the other three as time permits, but I won't sew them all together until I have all 12 done. Just want to make sure the blocks and fabrics look good together. That's the easy part. Deciding how want to quilt them is my hard part.

Wow, love the block. I'm new to quilting. I would like to see the completed quilt and other blocks along with tutorials, if possible. I think this will be my first attempt at cutting/sewing quilt blocks.
