    Default QB Block-of-the-Month, July 2013 - Blackford's Beauty - Photos

this is my example. i changed it slightly by adding corner setting triangles.
don't give me any credit for speed. i made this some time ago, so just needed to dig out the photo.

So, Patrice, by adding the setting triangles, how large did your square end up?

I like it with the corner triangles. I think it might fit my quilt better, I could leave them black, since my current blocks have so much black around the outside.

Love your colors Patrice, of course this week they remind me of fireworks!

    Default July BOM done

Yes, I'm done, so glad this was this months, I love this block. And I'm going with the same color scheme as the rest of my blocks. I needed one that sticks out, but not of different fabrics. This was perfect. Now to prepare it for QAYG.

adding the triangles in the corner did not change the size of the block.

I know, but in my other blocks I have more yellow in them. But very similar. Guess we both have good taste!
