I just posted my block in the other thread. I did ok for my first y-seams, but I had a question: How do you press the y-seam open? I couldn't get it to lay flat, so I pressed the diagnoal one open, and the other seams I pressed away from the square. That laid flat for the sub blocks, but didn't work so well when putting the whole thing together, cuz I had places where 2 seams mattched up, but were both pressed in the same direction, so I had to stitch thru 6 layers.

So, I'm a believer that pressing open was the way to go, but is there some trick for doing that on the Y-seams?

Let's just hope I can do this, I've never posted a new thread but found the how-to's and it's always good to learn something new.
