Beautiful, everyone! Lil sis, i did not see your boo boo until you sent me looking for it. Do not sweat it. You are doing great. I didnt get to sew much this weekend. Sick Saturday, went to JJ birthday party today. Cant believe he is two. Was going to fabric shop, but when i got there discovered id left my purse home. Jenn gave me her debit card, but i didnt have my list so will have to go back. Urgh! Got home and worked on a simple project. Rippedout way too much. One pair of seams i actually ripped out three times. Time to put the machine up for the night. LOL

Here is my blocks . Had fun doing them, liked the way they turn out. I'm using all scrap and trying to use neutrals for backgrounds to tie them together. Hope this works. What color should I use for shashing HELP

Good job on the plaids and check blocks. ITs only a mistake if you care about it girl. I think it looks nice so I wouldnt care much either. Seam rippers I have learned wear out over time. I know this as I seem to wear them out on a regular basis. Mine get seriously dull. I ripped more out of the easy block this time than the 'hard' one. I think its my new best friend seriously. Maybe if I talk nicely to it I wont have to use it all too often. (I wish!)

I love the blocks Juanitabean especially the bird block! the teal around the edge of the bird ..its a really pretty block.

Jaba thank you for your Christmas fabric scraps. I LOVE Christmas. This is my happy spot. Christmas, fabric and friends. I am so seriously lucky to have this.

You gals are doing such great work! I am wondering if I should go back and do both blocks as well...they are all looking so good together...hmmm...
Elisabrat, wonderful work on your Christmas blocks...you're showing how beautiful scraps can be in a controlled fashion!
Juanita, I LOVE your choice of fabrics! Well done!

Brat- I love your Christmas Quilt! All your blocks look like lovely wrapped presents.

Juanita- What about a nice smoky gray for sashing? It would make all the colors in the block really pop without overpowering.

I'm interested to see how my quilt is going to come together. I've been trying to use similar colors, but I went very neutral on this week's easy block. I'm wondering if I should have gone with a color theme? Oh well, it will at least be a true sampler quilt.

samplers are fun. I prefer to make a sampler over any other type of quilt. I get bored making the same block over and over ugh its a chore then. Samplers give you the chance to work on all sorts of different blocks and see new results each time depending on your fabric choices. I have wanted a Christmas quilt. In fact just two months ago I told Jaba that I wanted a red/white quilt but well making one for me was not on the priority list and then wyldwytch started this forum and I am getting that red/white quilt with a touch of Christmas LOL (not a touch a whole bunch) and I am thinking what a great thing!
Frenchfry do what makes you happy. put them all together and you can make a good decision color wise. pull fabrics now that you thinkmight work and lay them out all next to each other. maybe eventake a pic then you can look at it and say yeah or neah better.
Its morning and no snow today and I hope everyone gets up and starts the week with a smile. I have the WHOLE day to me. How wonderful! this is my best day of the week. No docs nothing just sewing. oh yeah..
