This is the "off" week. I sometimes make a couple of my own choosing on off weeks.

Thanks, Tracy. Phew! I remember our last "off" week, they posted blocks anyway. Have a good day!

I am so far behind, but am printing off the blocks as they are posted. Since the middle of Oct my hip has jumped out of socked 3 times and then he did a revision, 3 weeks later and it popped out again so a major revision was done. If it happens again I will be w/c bound and that is not at all inviting. On top of all this I seem to catch pneumonia everytime I have surgery , so I am down from that. Severly anemic so am working on that. The big push is to be able to get to my sewing machine. I had just brought home a new Janomee 8900. It has all the bell, whistle and cranks that go with a machine. Sew 2 short practive rows using the 1/4" seam allowance before throwing the hip out. Maybe tomorrow I will feel like trying it out again.

Grandme26, sorry to hear your hip has been giving you trouble, sounds painful. Hope the last revision will hold. Get well soon; your machine will wait patiently until you are ready. Please share your blocks when you them done. Hugs to you.

I am plugging along -- and am way far behind. Just looking at the paper piecing scrambles my brain -- sigh. Will try to finish some today.

Here is my Aunt Dinah block. This one calls for 4-7/8 and 2-7/8 squares and what I did was rounded up and cut them 5 and 3, then squared up the block sections. I've found this works better for me recently. That little bit of extra allows forgiveness for seam allowances, slippage of fabric when sewing and maybe slight pressing distortion. And I have a hard time seeing that 7/8 line on my rulers.
