This looks interesting to me. (Not like I don't have any other projects to do). However I need ideas as to what to do with them. I am a hand quilter so not sure that I want to do all that quilting. What can you do with these blocks if they are different sizes? She did say that they would be between 3-4 inches, so there could be some variation.
    Please share ideas.

No baby girls around (but 3 wonderful little boys), so no doll quilts...

I'm planning on making mine into a row quilt. Of course, I may change my mind once I see all of the blocks. Could be interesting. My thought is that it will make a cute lap quilt. And...if I truly don't like it, I can give it away.

That February block has a lot of seams. Any good hints on the cutting, sewing, or pressing.

Lots of starch helps and I used Elmer's instead of pins for the last few blocks and they're a little less wonky.

What fun! I'll join in. But I may just do one block each and make a tiny sampler quilt. Anyone else?

Having some troubles with the baskets. 1st one too small, second one too large. Yikes!! I love making small blocks but this one is a real challenge. I will try starch next. I know that helps but wonkiness isn't my problem as much as size. I am trimming to 1 and a half for the small half squares and 2 and a half for the large one. Trimming each before I sew. I wish they had given this block in any other month than Feb. Getting ready for a retreat and will be gone later in the month. I hate getting behind already. So, how are other peoples baskets coming along?

I am also planning on only make one block of each month too.

I found advice that I saw a few years ago when F&P had someone on their show that did miniature blocks. She had many suggestions but the one thing I remember is to make your block a bit larger then after starching and pressing them, trim them down to size. Hope this helps.

I just re-read the February instructions and in the comments section, it says that layout suggestions are coming next week. Also, found "somewhere" (!) on the blog, are instructions to make 8 Hsts from a square. I'm going to try that method and the Easy Angle ruler as well when I work up the nerve to manage those tiny pieces!
