Oh well it looks like I'm the first to post my picture. So here it is Mother's Favorite Star.

Anael--your block looks great...very "pointy points".

I have mine done so will post, but am definitely redoing it for more contrast! I won't get a chance to go shopping for another week though to get a better "background" fabric. Oh and the block is square I just took the picture at a funny angle for better lighting so it showed the orange/rust color a little better.

Anael, I love love love the flowers in your block; it's a beautiful block.

Carriem, isn't it funny while we're working on something the contrast looks great, then you step back and oops-no contrast. I love the fabrics you used though and your pp is spot on.

Carriem, I understand what you mean redoing the block because of the contrast (or lack of it). The fabrics are gorgeous!

Anael & Carriem, your blocks are so pretty. Carriem, the batiks are beautiful.

Here is my Mother's Favorite Star. I made it in both sizes.

Anael, your block is so striking! Love it!
Carriem, it appears that your work is spot on and your fabrics lovely...it's always the contrast, isn't it?
Patricia Faye, I love how you posted both blocks together and it DOES make the 10 blocks look huge! Very pretty!

Ahhhh such beautiful blocks, Carrie, Patricia & Anael!
Carrie & Anael - Are they easier than the 8" PC blocks?

Dublb, I don't think so. Looking at the foundations there are lots of pieces. I don't know about Y seams, didn't look as I don't mind doing them. But there are only 20 blocks
