Hi Kirsty,
I did get some fat quarters and background fabrics. I went for orangey tones (not a colour I normally use but wanted to do something different). I'll take a photo of them later.

I have been in and out so much lately but, I have seen the blocks come in and they are all so different and lovely!
I also have been sitting down little bits of time to look at the next block. . . . it looks complicated when you look at the picture of the finished block, but, I think it is a reasonably easy repeat!?!?!?!

The second block isn't hard, just take your time assembling it otherwise it's going to look a bit weird, like mine did I finished the second block today.

I would also say the second block really needs contrasting fabrics-the first one I did does not have enough-and it looks off. My second block has more contrast and will pop a bit more-I have learned my lession!!!

I see orangey yellow-like cheddar cheese-not orange orange.

Default Mona's Choice

I did the second block and it was a bit tricky. I am still using the Aunt Gracie, purple print and yellow background. I hope the colors come out right on the web.

Your second block is lovely! Compared to the yellow the first one now is orange

Here's my second block, a totally different look!

Have completed my first block along with one from my mum who is going to stitch along with us. This is our first proper attempt at paper piecing - we got there after a few unpickings!! Am still working out how to upload a photo (not very good at computery things!!) - will post one soon!!!
