We are just rolling along here with the weeks and the pictures!

This week I was working on a design I liked and I played with color and turning the blocks til I had two differant designs from the same original idea quilt block. So the first two are sisters! LOL They are HSTS and Boston Blocks.
The third one is a 4 x 4 or 4 rows of 4 blocks in each row.
It is a simple to see quilt block. So once you learn to make the wings block this one will be quick and easy to make! Only 16 "Blocks" and only 12 of them are wings blocks! So easy!

I am going to be posting a color play tutorial using this wings quilt block. So watch for it! I got so caught up in playing with this block that I wanted to see how many variations I could do with this simple block. There are about 14 or so. So I will be posting this lesson soon. I actually had a hard time picking just one for this week!

As always you will find the Blocks here in the VS:

And you will find all of the weeks here in the VS:

I hope you will post your pictures of the blocks or any progress you make on the Picture Thread

Gemma - Bostons Blocks and HSTs - this one is the same as the first one. I only changed the colors around- except for the 4 center blocks. I guess I did turn them into a pinwheel.

Lila - wings blocks - I found some Bali fabrics in my EQ fabric files so I played with some of the colors. I have never used this kind of fabric before on here or for real.

Rhonda, have to tell you you're amazing. Your blocks are always beautiful. Haven't attempted them yet but I think this Claudia block would be gorgeous in almost any color combo. I'm going to try it in Christmas fabrics. Thank you for the inspiration.

Thank you Magpie. I am so blessed to be able to share what gives me joy! I love designing and uncovering new looks for quilt blocks! My EQ takes most of the credit. It is a fabulous tool!

Rhonda I love Claudia and the way you changed her aroung to make Gemma. Here I go book marking again. I have got to get some color ink so I can start printing the blocks out again.
