This week I have a Kansas Dugout quilt block / a Drunkard's Path Quilt Block and a Combination Quilt block. A combination quilt block is one that is made with squares or triangles. It is basically a 4 patch. This one is made with the combination square patch and half square triangle squares(HSTs)

I think Lydia is my favorite this week. I don't use purple alot but I really like this arrangement.

As usual you can find my directions for using my cut down methods to make the "Blocks" by following this link.

    http://www.quiltingboard.com/virtual...jsp?vsnum=1020

And you will find all of the weeks here in the Virtual Sections:

I encourage all who are working on the quilt blocks to post your pictures so we can share in the journey!!

As you work through the process on each quilt block you might think about sharing how you put them together. Pictures of your quilt blocks in progress are really fun to see too. so post on the Picture Thread for this Sampler Quilt! I look forward to seeing these quilts done!!

Hope you enjoy working on these quilt blocks!! If anyone has any question please don't hesitate to let me know!
    Have fun!

Boy girl, you are keeping me busy. But I'm glad! I haven't done a drunkard's path yet, so that may be what I have to work on. Today is a slow day, I'm pooped from putting up Christmas decorations for two days. I probably just need to lay on the couch and watch tv all day. Bounce back tomorrow after DH goes back to work.

I am having so much fun with these designs. I think I will miss doing them when I decide there has been enough of them done. LOL

well once I am done with these 12" blocks for my day bed cover. I'm going to work on making little ones. I'm slowing changing over to miniatures. This way I can make all kinds of squares, not use much fabric, have a blast, and hang them all over my walls.

I like the Lydia block too. Some things have to wait until after Xmas for me, but then I will get started trying to learn from your tutorials. Your way of teaching is really great!!

    Rhonda,

How long will this Sampler Quilt Along be on this site. I want to do it but I will not be able to get started until 2011 and I was wondering if I need to download all the weeks at once or will I be able to download as I do them?

    Thanks in advance for replying.

The Sampler will be on here permanently. So you can do them in your own time. There is no hurry.
