This week I am introducing my Wings Block into the Sampler.

Please don't let it intimidate you. This one may look intricate but it is made with easy steps.

This block creates a look of curves but it is only an optical illusion. so try making one Wings Block and see what you think. There are more steps to this one but they aren't hard to do.

This Block is my favorite out of all of them. so I hope you enjoy these Quilt Blocks.

You can find all my "Blocks" in one place in the Virtual Section.

And here you will find all of the threads for the Sampler. I included the post "Rhonda's Easy Way to Piece HST Quilt Blocks and others" in the Sampler Virtual Section for those who would like to see how I piece a quilt block together

thanks everyone. The Black one is my favorite one too. I love this Quilt Block. It fascinates me how you get curves with no curve sewing.

Leora was my grandmothers name so I thought it appropriate to use hers. I slept under a quilt that she and her guild made when I stayed at their house. It had all the last names in our family embroidered on it.

I love them! I wish I was more experienced to follow...but I am soooo not. But it is nice to see the progress and learn from the questions. Just a word of encouragement to everyone...thanks for doing this.

A beginner can do this! All you need to be able to do is pay attention to accuracy when you cut around the template. It isn't hard to do it just looks hard!

Try one block and see what you think.
You can start with a Boston Block if you like as it has only 3 swatches and doesn't look as intimidating. but all of my "Blocks" can be done by a beginner.

You sew fabric scraps together and cut out a square. Then you just sew the squares together in the order of the layout and you get a complicated looking block with easy steps!!

Just click here for the blocks and look at the Boston Blocks. They are easy to make!
