Default Rhonda's Second Sampler Quilt Along - Week 4 Catherine

This week we are using HSTs and Boston Blocks

So as usual it uses my cut down method which I think makes your blocks more accurate and you have better control of the size as you go.
Just make sure to measure each time you complete a step.
It will save a lot of frustration when you are done.

Here are the directions for making the HSTs

Here are the directions for making the Boston Blocks
    http://www.quiltingboard.com/tutoria...al-t38879.html

To make this quilt block into a 12 1/2" unfinished size you will need a 2 1/2" template.

You can take a look at the layout picture to see what Blocks you need and where to put the colors. If you change the color arrangement you will get a differant look from mine.

So try it out and see what you can make with this design! Have fun!

If you need any help don't hesitate to ask. I'll be more than happy to help.

If you need templates let me know. I will need your postal address and PLEASE send it by pm or email not on the open board. The templates are FREE no fees or postage needed.

This Quilt Block is named Catherine

Nice block, thanks Rhonda. I made the pieces for my 3rd week block and plan on putting the block together tonight. The little 4-patch blocks sure are tiny for the 6-1/2" block. Can't imagine trying to cut out those individual little squares and sewing them together. Your cut down method makes it easy. Hopefully I will get to start on Catherine and be up to date.

Still not understanding this board. If I didn't know about looking in archives, I wouldn't have found this. But glad I did.

Very pretty block. It looks like a lot of little pieces. I am not doing the quilt along at this time, but enjoy looking at it. I have too many UFO's to start anything else.

Rhonda, I am having a lot of trouble printing the pictures of your blocks, I can print everything else but the picture doesn't print. I like to have a visual picture so I can look at all the various parts of the block.
