Dfelker, I love your "inspiration picture" Cant wait to see more,

I've just added my 3rd row and am undecided as to whether it needs another row or not. Then I'm adding applique tree, campsite etc. What do you others think?

m-fay - LOVE it - feel like I can walk right into the pic. A campsite is so needed - can't wait to see what you will come up with. When I first saw just your sky I wasn't sure about it - but with the other two rows - WOW is the perfect word. Have you ever done this before???

I think the ratio of width to height is good, and that the applique will provide the foreground you are missing.

Thanks all, I.m working on the appliqué now,my last row was about 3inches shorter than the other rows that's why I think it needs a little more... I have only been using my scraps,so I,ll leave it as is. Thanks

Last week I went to the ocean and noticed how the sky was huge compared to the sliver of ocean. Today I got to work on beach and when I put it out - my ocean was way to much. So now trimming it down and then finish the beach.
Kassandra - your post about the width and ratio helped me see the ocean part. I couldn't put my finger on it until your post and my viewing the real thing!

Elizabrat, So glad you're back. I don't know much about dialysis but it doesn't sound like fun, so take it easy. It's got to be frustrating though to not be able to get to the sewing machine.

Karamarie, I really like your rows 3 & 4 and I think the pieced blocks work really well, both in color and style, log cabin, pine tree, north star, all up north. I'm also going to have a couple of rows of traditional blocks.

dfelker, great cloud.

mfay, That is looking so good. Three different styles so far. Love it.

travelinggramma, I have found that I've noticed things differently too. As we were going over a bridge yesterday, I was seeing the water with it's gentle ripples and wondering how to represent that. And color too.

Elizabrat, Nope, I'm not seeing mfays message repeated. Those darn computer gremlins are at it again.

Sewing has definitely slowed down for me with the nice weather, spring chores, and life in general. Still working though and having a great time. I'll post my water soon.
