Dotty, that is awesome. You are are really great at giving your pieces depth. I feel like I am really looking at NY city. I love all the different layers. I can see how much love you have for your city.

Default Row Robin Quilt Along

Here is a picture of my top. Am working on the border using 1 1/2 inch pieces so it is taking a while. Outside duties are calling also so can't work on it too much.
You guys all are doing such a great job -can't wait to look each morning to see if someone has loaded a picture. I'm anxious to get my border on so I can begin machine quilting it.

My Minnesota quilt is 36 x 66 - kind of an odd size but I have a perfect spot on a wall that needs a change. Thanks for the compliment.

you guys are superbly better than I! wow! love the whole variety from the Aussie sunset to the Minnesota lakes to NY city and everything in between. Mine looks rather primitive relative to your work! Think the point will be made with the chairs (gulp?) got a bit of sand to do first then chairs and drinks and the traditional work begins after that. oh boy! Here is the last of the ocean and the first of the sand.. wet sand so its darker but will lighten up quickly I think with the sand colored choices I do have. I think there are about 10 to pick from.. hard to stop collecting the creams and whites always a good use for them. (that's why there are so many lol).
sorry it took so long I am not nearly as fast as you guys so see you truly can join in at any point ladies and you wont be behind! there is no behind here. its all starting somewhere!

Boy, miss a day and you miss a whole bunch of action.

travelinggramma, That is looking so good. Love the sand and maybe I'll try a curve where my water meets the shore. You make it look easy but my previous attempt ended up looking like a snake and I took it out.

dotcom, You work fast! It's great! I agree with Judith, that your quilt really shows your love of your city.

Karamarie, I really like the comgination of traditional and creative rows and the colors bring it all together. Got to say that Lake Superior is my favorite row.

Elizabrat, I can just feel the white foamy water on the wet brown sand.
