Everyone is looking great. I really liked the green and white.

PMJ- thanks for the closeup on that sewing. That is a quick stitch to do for this one. I can't quilt big items. :/ I think I get too frustrated.

Ok, back to the 'housing' car for a nap!

There it is again the happy batik quilt you cant help but smile with all that color.

The linus quilt is very peaceful and lets see there was a brown and teal quilt that is a controlled scrappy? That is my cup of tea the colors are really warm, a little southwestern an a little mountain. kinda like me! Sedona is my x stomping ground before moving back to CA and up to the mountains here. Thanks for the happy memory

I worked all day on mine those of you who just whip it out heck how did you do it?? I am fried and have just two more blocks to stitch to the last row and I am finished. I am finished energy wise but will do it til I drop then photo for you. I think rectangles are going to run all around the edges four corner 2.5 squares and wings where needed on edge to finish out the stars. thats just my theory which could be wrong because well no math for this goober. I hate math.

ok is it just me or are those zombie movies on tv just to gross for words? dh is watching now and ugh to the gore. give me that cooking channel same show over and over before I would watch this crud. oh gross. time to go sewing again.

Wow! The quilts are amazing. Thanks to everyone who has posted.

I'm excited because I found my fabric b tonight when I was looking for a backing for a baby quilt. There is plenty for both projects. I guess I'm glad that I never used that material for kitchen curtains 10 plus years ago.

I now need to decide if I want to use some blue fabric with tiny stars on it for fabric a or if I am going to make the stars out of solid material.

ok here it is. total scrappy-happy is this quilt. I used only scraps with the exception of the flower stars and still did not have enough of that so improvised with some teal stars/points. Kinda like that. half the outside points will be teal half flowered sort mixed up on purpose. jury is still out with me.. it coming together though and TADA I finished this weeks goal which well is pleasing immensly to me. little things that can bring you joy. Thanks Judy these are fun and force me to produce a total product vs a UFO for the old box that does not need one more ufo.

Linda, it turned out great - aren't you glad now you didn't give up on scrappy all those many days ago? I love what you did with the stars -- this is truly scrappy -- you made toast out of stale bread!

Sewellie, please go ahead ant think scrappy! I never thought I'd like scrappy, I was such a controlled person when I started quilting 3 years ago, but now it is my all time favorite. For myself and my DDs I have made 5 scrappy king or queen quilts and about 4 lap quilts. I was only able to do so because a friend was unable to continue to quilt due to a stroke and gave me her stash, a lot of it from the early 90s. Lots of little stuff I had no idea what to do with at the time. I realize how lucky I was to have this, and shared a lot of it with the charity I sew for.
