Here is my Diamonds block for January. Unlike all of the earlier blocks, it doesn't have a solid, round center so placement was a little of a puzzle and I'm not sure that the yellow really does the trick but that's what it is for now.

I love your block-the yellow really adds interest. I'm not sure about this block the way mine turned out either, maybe it's because as you mentioned there's no center. I guess we wait til the end to see if it plays nicely with it's fellow blocks. Loving your red/black/white.

GardenGal, I love how your yellow shows off the perfect job of piecing in the center! Somehow, it all works together in my eyes, but its yours that counts. I would vote it high honors.

Hi Everyone, I'm so very glad that all of you have continued with the posting of the blocks for this month...

    Some fantastic blocks here...

Ggal, I like the way the butter yellow softens the colors...I think it will go well with the others...

Jan, I would wait to see how this block blends in with the others before using bleach on it...if you had to you could add a lighter center to it...

I just love all your blocks. I went scrapy and I dont think thats a good idea for this kind of quilt. At least I am doing them all . Maybe I will make one that all the color goes together.

You might be surprised once it is all laid out. You have a nice background to tie it all together. They are very pretty.
