    My first 2 blocks.. E1 - 9-patch & M10 - Key West Beauty. I haven't done much PP...just a handful of blocks. I imagine I'll improve with this project. Just grateful it's 6 1/2"...HA! More planned for this weekend...

Beautiful blocks! Paper piecing can be confusing but once you learned how to do it you'll love it. At least I did Love your main fabric!

Thank you, Anael, for your encouragement. I may redo M10 later when I practice PP more and become more proficient. Or..I may leave it cuz I'm eager to get done. Lol... I marked it for possible redo. We'll see.

Teen, I started my Sylvia shortly after I started quilting. It was a learning curve and like you, I told myself to redo some of the blocks I wasn't happy with. I didn't redo any block. In the whole quilt you won't notice which block could have been made better and only you know what went wrong and why.

I bought the digital book. I think it's going to work fine, and any I want templates for, I'm going to draw up in EQ8 (good practice for me). I'm going to see if I can use up more of my batiks. I plan on not having a constant background. I'll pick the background for each block separately, and then go more scrappy with the other colors when that will work. If I get lucky, I'll run out of fabric/scraps before blocks.

That will work, drawing in EQ. I'm drawing in EQ5. Can't wait to see your blocks, it will be a colourful quilt once finished!

Yea, Macybaby!! You & I will start this journey together. I will likely not do this quickly but my goal is doing a few a week. Last night, I tagged the pages of blocks to focus on first and watched a couple of you tubes on PP to refreshed my memory...picked up some helpful techniques I didn't know about so I think my next block will be a PP so I can try out what I've learned and cement it in my head. Lol... Best laid plans and all..

I loved the the design wall Dottie used. Any ideas on where in the net that's available? I don't have EQ?..

The design wall Dottie used is no longer available. I used Excel and made my own design wall. It works like a charm.
