Sue s q, the roses are from Piece By Number, called Rosie's Rose. I've bought a lot of their PP patterns, they are very affordable.

Teen, your Y seams look pretty good. I've also seen a lot of different methods out there, and think many of them make it way more work than it needs to be (same with bindings).

For a few of the blocks, I didn't feel like Y seams so cut triangles and put a seam up the middle instead.

ok, with Anael's incourgament, I pulled out the book and figured out how to get the hoop set up and did a simple design.

This is a big step for me, I've owned the machine for 10 months and this is the first time doing embrodery. This is actaully my second embroidery machine. I bought a used Pfaff several years ago, and never did figure that one out. DH loves the machine though, so he's got it now. Not that he ever plans on doing any embroidery with it.

This is another hobby. I can't ride my bike right now but most days I'm going out with my camera and take pictures. This one is from this morning, it's a fieldfare in my back yard.

Wow, lots of activity on here over the weekend. Teen, love seeing some new fabric showing up in your blocks, especially the woody looking one and the cute yellow in J-10. Beautiful bird, beautiful embroidery, beautiful blocks - nice way to start the week. My baby quilt is coming along nicely, so I stopped and treated myself to 2 more Sylvia blocks. Well done DonnaPea! The yellow with the larger print looks very familiar to me, I might have the same or something very similar.
