Sylvia Bridal Sampler BOW

Very nice!
I'm jealous of your nice blocks, I have not done any piecing since finishing my border quilt, and that didn't have much piecing to it anyway.
I've been trying real hard to catch up on quilting, and hope to keep caught up once I get there. I've got quite a bit done and now have a stack of unbound quilts!

Love the SBS blocks, Donna & auntjo... Donna...B9...the colors!!! Yellow!!! Love it. And auntjo, grandma fan is beautifully rich in color....love that polka dot...
Anael....yea....Your blocks are beautiful in floral. GTSB is a garden quilt so I think you are right there with the he floral fabric theme. Great way to get rid of some of floral stash that's so hard to use, at least for me.
i think a Jen Kingwell thread would be a good thing to do. She has many unique quilt patterns. Doesn't she do the Tula Pink sampler city scape etc. quilts? I think oksewglad is doing that one..... She creates really unique samplers.
i could be getting her confused with another designer.
Macybaby...if I was local to you, I would come over and help with the binding. I enjoy doing that part. You really hustled and won't be long before that stack is done and gifted. Amazing accomplishment and I'm sure all gorgeous.. We need a slide show..
My Sylvia is ready at the LA. I pick up tomorrow. She said it looks amazing. Can't wait to FMQ the applique borders and bind her up. I'll put GTSB aside when she arrives home to finish her up.... Woop woop!!

Judith....it's a complete quilt pattern called "Backyard Birds" by Becky Goldsmith from Piece of Cake Designs. I found in the pattern section at Joann's (It's wrapped like a flat rate envelope and not a book, if that helps). Super cute blocks..

Pretty blocks have come in.
I loved doing the City Sampler blocks...just a fun, unique variety of 6" blocks...I don't think the cuts were smaller than 1" and most of them rectangles and squares with some HST's. Mine is done in columns...it will be close to August before I can share it...No time right now..it's a good thing I get my sewing fix at work!

GTSB block...only 2 more to go in Section 4.....this is a fun pattern...so far...lol!
Anael....I did applique on the flowers instead of pieced, as instructed in book. So much easier instead of messing around with curves. Trapunto'd the stems in this one too

Oh my, I'm going to bed and you ladies start chatting
Beautiful blocks Donna and auntjo!
Donna, glad your hubbies party was great and he loved your very special book.
Mace, I would come over and help you bind your quilts but there's a big pond between us! You'll get there, don't worry.
Teen, how exciting, your Sylvia is coming home!! We need pictures!!
That GTSB block is gorgeous! I agree with appliqueing the flowers instead of piecing. Would be a great practice in curved piecing though.......
I will contact the admins about a Jen Kingwell thread. She has such interesting patterns! Not sure about the City Sampler blocks!
It will be fun to continue our journey together.
