I like my Frixion pens, markers and highlighters. I've never had a trace of them show up after laundering - not even the "ghosting" that shows up after ironing the lines away.

Years ago, I tested the Crayola washable markers and wasn't happy with how poorly they washed out. A few weeks ago, I noticed that everyone seemed to really like them, so I did another test of the Ultra Clean version (or whatever they're called.) I colored heavily on a piece of washed muslin, marked the colors with a Sharpie and ironed the lower half of the test area, really getting it hot and waited a day or two.

It went into the laundry without any pre-treating or bleach and it came out sparkling clean - only the Sharpie labels remained. So I would not hesitate to use those now, either - except for quilts which aren't going to be washed right away - wall-hangings, table runners, etc.

    Best of luck!

I am really enjoying all the pictures posted to this thread!
Thanks for the information!! Good to know

Anyone still making their SBS? I took mine out of the UFO draw last week and made up a couple more blocks, with it being July and Red White and Blue is in the air. That Blazing star block was a challenge!

Thanks, Anael! These 6" blocks are a bit out of my comfort zone. I think this will take me forever! I have been reading Jennifer Chiaverini's Elm Creek novels so I got all inspired to keep going with it.

I remember our lovely group a few years ago Anael when we made our SBS quilts. I learnt so much and glad to see people are still making the blocks. I started a group here on QB with Jennifer's new Sampler book - Harriet's Journey and we are sharing and showing all the blocks we make as we go along. It is great fun and the book is so nice ! It is based on her novel "Circle of Quilters " This is my fourth Sampler Quilt - having previously made "Dear Jane, SBS, and The Loyal Union Sampler Quilt. Maybe I could persuade you to have a look at how we are doing here on QB - Harriet's Journey BOM.
    Hugs from the UK x

NZquilter, lovely blocks! I gave both the quilts I finished away, and they are being enjoyed. I decided 2 smaller ones was better for me, than 1 large one.
