Ok, paintmejudy, you said that we can use our scraps. So how do I go about using my scraps for this? I want to make the lap size. I have enough of a red leaf on black print fabric, and would pick out of my scraps reds, oranges, blues, and whatever else in the medium tones to coordinate, but if they are scraps, how best to do this?

Would it work as a scrappy, or should I pick coordinating fabrics,you know the ones I bought to use, but instead get it out carress it put it back in the bin{the ones I just can't cut]

I just figured something out. When I buy fabric because I love it then can't figure out what to do with it....I make a mystery quilt! this one will be my 3rd...decision made for me! I will shop my stash tonight and post a pic tomorrow!
