I have always had my own well also. Never had problems with odor or anything else. ( knock on wood ) I love it.

after 64 years living in the city with city water/sewer. I am thrilled with our well. so far so good. one thing I do not miss is the quarterly w/s bill of $350 and more in the summer. happy in my small home in the woods and a fatter wallet(I tell my DH thats for fabric.) ;-) ;-)
