I love to watch Little House and The Waltons also. I grew up not far from Waltons Mt. in Virginia.

YES! I still read them as an adult. Makes me appreciate what I have - and makes me want to keep downsizing.

You know it is kind of funny ..I watch the hallmark Channel all the time. Golden girls, Who's the boss...movies...but when The Walton's or Little house come on I always change the channel. I don't know why I never got into them?

The episode where Nellie and her wheel chair wind up in a pond after she fakes an injury would be next in line.
Haha I remember that episode with Nellie...I laughed and laughed at her. Stupid girl lol teach her to lie. I also like the Christmas eve one with Mr. Edwards. I just loved all of them and on occasion I will still watch them. It plays on the Hallmark Channel. :)

I'm not sure if I have ever seen an episode, but years of re-reading the books have made all the stories very familiar. Now I have the pleasure of reading them again as I share them with my DGDs.

I like the stories from in the Big Woods ...
...when Pa is chased by a panther
    ...maple syrup
    ...ma slapping the bear
    ...butchering time

Yes, I love Little House on the Prairie and especially the Christmas episode with Mr. Edwards wading through the river to deliver the presents from Santa. I think when the girls were little were the best. And also like watching the Waltons, too. Good clean television and family oriented. Can't beat the old shows like re-runs of Andy Griffith, I Love Lucy. Recently became a fan of the Golden Girls, too.
