"hostible" instead of hospital, and "peanut jelly sammich" instead of peanut butter and jelly sandwich, "no, I amment" instead of no, I'm not. And, see, everybody gets upset now when people don't speak or spell correctly. Who was it that decided these earlier forms were incorrect???

Oh my, does this bring back memories, my son who is now 36, would say Sun in mine eyes mommy, he was around 2, he couldn't make the "F" sound, so we would tell him to say "Four Funny Fat Fish" and his response would be "Shore Shunny Shat Shish" I could go on and on. What a darling topic.

My autistic DGS was unable to communicate til he was about 4 and then he would be very literal. so he would beg to go purple shopping and we had no idea what purple shopping meant. He couldn't explain. He also would ask to go green shopping. One day my DD was going into Walmart in Burlington and she noticed the Walmart sign was purple and she had an inspiration! He was calling Walmart in Burlington purple and the one in Mt. Pleasant the sign was green. Ergo Green shopping was Walmart in Mt. Pleasant and purple shopping was Burlington's Walmart!! The mystery was solved!! He loved and still does at 10 to go shoppping!! Tho he is quite able to say exactly what he wants now!! LOL

When my son was about 4, one of our favorite places to go was Kentucky Fried Chicken.. My neighbor got the biggest kick out of my son when she asked him where he was going to go eat at and my son proudly says F____fried Chicken..
