My best friend used to be overweight and all she had to do was sit ups and push ups to get rid of hers... I know this is true cause her Grandmother wouldn't let her get a gym pass or really leave the house except for school. Her Grandma was old school Italian... or i should say Old Country Italian... wonderful lady though!

But I always hear, sit ups and crunchs don't do anything... and bla bla bla... and I'm like... well they did before your miracle product came along...

I'm thinking of getting one of those balance balls... so that when I'm on the computer I can sit on that and improve my posture. I know those work... and as for weights I'll start with resistance bands...
I have one of the balls and love it, I.m slowly doing sit-ups on it and a few others as well, I put the ball in my feet and raise it towars my hear, grab it with my hands and do this several times. I also do my are weights on the ball. Does seem to help a little.

And we keep growing!!

Someone from my ww shared this recipe and sometimes when I need something satisfying and good, I allow 250 calories for this awesome snack.

Heat 1 Tbsp peanut butter in microwave for 20 seconds. Add 2 Tbsp Cool Whip. Chop one small apple and one sliced banana and add to mix. Taste great!!

I've been getting "night cravings" for food. I've found a bowl of Special K is very satisfying, doesn't mess up the blood sugar, and fills me up.

Free calories - salsa as salad dressing. Delicious!

Good Job everyone!

For some reason I stopped getting the emails with updates. Hopefully my comment will get me connected again.

I'm home with snow day #6 and you have just inspired me to get my ^&* off the couch and get on the treadmill.

bye for now!

Hi and welcome, quiltylori. Great to have you. The people on this site are some of the most caring, supportive ever. I read the posts for about four years before I finally decided to join in. I'm so glad I did. It's like having best friends all over the world.

I wonder how many points that is. Sounds really good. I am on the point system - do you think it is around 4?

Way to think positively. Sorry you have missed some of the posts, but really glad you are back now. Did you see that the total weight loss for January was 75+ pounds?

Lneal: Great sounding recipe. Thank you for sharing. Your avatar makes me want to eat the apple I brought to work for a snack today.
Carolevidak: It sounds like it is about 4 points, if you were to eat all of it all yourself and use the low fat Cool Whip. I am going to try this with DH tonight. He and I could share it, and then it would only be a 2 point snack.

I have really been suffering from night cravings lately too. I am usually pretty low on points by that time. Since I have been losing weight, I have been losing points too. Which isn't much of a reward, is it? Sorry I just felt like whining about that to someone who may understand. I am looking for healthy snacks if I am going to go over my points, it has to be something that tastes good and is healthy too. This may be a perfect choice.
