Default Age range of your friends and aquaintances?

As an older university student I spend my days with people 30 years younger than me. I love it. As we are all students and studying the same subjects we are peers. But when I look around me, it seems that most people stick with people close in age to them. That is understandable, but I feel there is great value to reach out to people in other generations.

I am also looking at my classmates and know that one day they will be my boss, and I am happy with that. I know they are hardworking dedicated young people and I feel confident that they will do well in the field we are studying.

Do you spend time with folks from a different generation? Do you enjoy it?

My closest friends are within a few years of my age with a few exceptions. My hubby is 9 years older. My concern is seeing most of my peers gone before me. Tho I have lost 4-5 friends prior to age 60. Life! No guarantee

My parents seemed to have older friends and I was taught, like the rest of us, to respect older people. I have friends of all ages, there is much to be gained that way, I think.

most of my friends at 20+ years older than myself. I always figured because i didn't hang out in bars, and I've always been a quilter. a friend told me when i was about 18 i should be out drinking and having fun. For awhile i might be missing something, but again, i'd rather spend my money on fabric that alcohol. so i hang with people older than me. plus, they understand my frugalness.

When we were younger, we gravitated to older couples as they were not so uptight and really knew how to have fun, now we find young people gravitating towards us for the same reason.

Anywhere from 10 years younger to 25+ years older I have never discriminated. Being a younger quilter I meet a lot of older friends who quilt, and my close friends are younger than me I always gravitated towards the younger crowd growing up

I would love to be around young(er) people. Unfortunately, we live in one of the oldest counties in one of the oldest states and while Maine is beautiful, folks come here to retire. LOL My husband is 18 years older than I am and so we mostly hang with friends in their late 60’s early 70’s.
