Default It is almost time for the Angeltrees.............

Please check out our nursinghomes. Most of them do Angeltrees for their residents.
I found out about it quite by accident, and you would not believe how grateful our seniors are for just the smallest things.
I always wait to the last minute and go get all the names which haven't been picked. They really don't ask for much ,but my family and I take a day and go shopping for our "grandmas and grandpas".
To get a hug from some seniors, who have nobody left in their family means the world to my family and me.
    So please think about it.

Than you for the reminder. That is a wonderful thing to do. Sometimes we think about the children and forget there are elderly lonely people at this time of year also.

Thank you,I was trying to let other people become aware of this.
Some of my "grandmas" really like the good smelling lotions, sad that some can't even afford to buy the most basic things.

Nursing homes are also a wonderful place to donate quilts. The residents seem so thankful, and they sure brighten up a stark looking hospital room. I just took over 2 quilts to our state run nursing home.

They were also grateful for my fabric scraps which they use in craft projects.

Can you please explain - I've never heard of an Angeltree. Is it like the ones they do for kids at the Salvation Army? Kids write their names, ages, and what they want, hang the list on the tree?
