Kindles are brilliant and the Amazon customer service is too. Like others have said I have had my kindle replaced because it fell from my bed while in hospital. They sent a courier with a new one in a box and all I had to do was put the broken one in sign the electronic gismo and that was that. When I opened up and logged on with the new one I was amazed that all my books were there as before. I dunno why but I thought somehow it would be difficult to get my books!!

My Kindle Fire is my constant companion. LOL It fits nicely into my handbag and off I go; doctor visits, etc.

I'm on my 3rd Kindle, and DH is on his 2nd. They don't quibble - they just send a new one. Pactically overnight. My only problem is with books that haveto be downloaded via UBS to computer. Half the time I can't find them on my computer. Amazon has tried to help, but when you're working with someone via the written word vs on the phone, it's very frustrating! However, that's my ONLY problem. I LOVE my Kindle!

I love my Kindle Keyboard. Seriously considering getting one for DH, maybe a K Fire. Yes, Amazon has come up with a great product and their service is terrific.

My son bought me a Paperwhite for Mother's Day and I love it...Signed up at the library for e-books and haven't quit reading since...makes it much easier to pet a kitty and read at the same time...

JoAnne: Don't know whether this will work for you but I have a plain no bells Kindle. When the book is only available in USB, it downloads to my Kindle Archive. Since they are sorted alphabetically by title, I just page down and click on the title. This downloads it to the main menu where I can open and read it.

It's so good to read about your experience. I love my little Kindle Paperwhite. It's completely spoiled me to be able to enlarge the text to comfortable size and lie back in bed to read without wrestling a heavy book.

Last Thursday I ordered 2 items from Amazon. I received them Tuesday. I had to charge them as they were electronic. tried them today. Didn't like them, called for return. Printed return label. Dropped off UPS today, refunded tonight. Great service!
