Love all the fur babies you guys!! My fellas are in my avatar and I love them to pieces! Quigley is my Bichon and Chonzer is half Bichon and half schnauzer, hence the name. My husband named him that so he wouldn't forget what he was. Makes sense huh?

I love ALL animals but the mini-Schnauzer was the last dog we had for almost 16 1/2 years and she is the best all around dog we ever had. Chonzer reminds me of our little Lucy. We miss her so much. She died about 2 1/2 years ago.

All right.....I had to pipe up when the topic turns to fur kids.
I too love reading everyone's stories about their fur family.
My very sick, emaciated, flea bitten Georgie the cat was rescued from the street (a very busy one at that). The neighbors warned me not to feed him as he then would be a nuisance and hang around....of course minutes later I'm kneeling down trying to coax him out from under a car with ham and cheese...that was 3 years ago..
Renie was one of those "high kill" pound dogs....Friday morning before the dreaded "time is up" I called to find out this little girl was still there....that was 2 years ago.
They are wonderful companions, my life is richer because of them.
    :D

Cute puppy. Yeah mine don't really like the dress up but they figure if they hold still for a few minutes it will all be over soon.
That and I hold treats in my mouth so they know patience can have its rewards afterwards. They love wearing bandanas though. If they have 1 on and I take it off they pout. If I hold 1 up my female will come put her head through it.
    Thanks for the picture

Nearly all my cats and dogs have been pound pets. We rescued them and were repaid with years of love.

We have 4 fur babies: 3 cats - Ansel, Jazz and Patches (a calico), and one very spoiled dog - Hero all are rescue animals.
Luv all the pics - these fur babies just enrich our lives...and keep us in line! lol

Boy your right there. Alot of them do get bad raps unfortutely. My mom called from the hospital 1 day getting stitches because a Springer Spaniel bit her. Just the other day a lady got attached by a Beagel mix. My first Doberman was a rescue that I rescued off the freeway in Seattle. Thats when my love for the breed came about. They are just gentle giants. Great family dogs.
    Thanks April
