Pzazz I feel your pain. My house is loaded with my MIL's taste. What is it with these men? Don't they understand plain English (or whatever language you speak) "DON"T LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER" is pretty simple!!

well, how about when you try your best to figure out what to get for somebody that doesn't really seem to need anything and after opening it, they TELL you, right there, that they don't use things like that!
(FIL, one year at Christmas ...started buying a gift certificate.)
It's all,...- um, let me fix that...many times, it is all a matter of perspective...and there ARE those times, you have to wonder what their perspective is!

Last year for my BD, hubby bought me a card (that was it -- no dinner out, no present, he didn't even say "Happy Birthday" -- but left the card on the kitchen table where I found it the NEXT morning.) It didn't have a name on the envelope and it wasn't signed. I asked him if the card was for me and he said, "yes". I then asked him why he didn't sign it, and he said, "Cause then I can use it next year."

It's like the guy who didn't want to get his wedding band engraved because it would hurt the resale value ;)
