A sweet person gifted me some Freight Harbor blades. Im trying one now and it cuts fine, but I noticed it was not oiled like rotary blades. So I oiled mine with a q tip. They recommend you oil your cutters anyway, but sometimes I forget.Just a tip for ya!

You hit the jackpot with this one! I use the 60mm rotary cutter (received it as a bday gift) and HF doesn't sell the blades for this size. :( However, I just might have to invest in the 45mm cutter just so I can save on the blades. Surely there isn't too much of a difference between the 45mm and the 60mm!!

I stopped in at our local one yesterday for something else and guess what???? They had a whole hanger full! (notice the use of the past tense LOL) Needless to say, they had ten less packages when I left. The young man checking me out said, "You're a quilter aren't you?' When I said yes, he said that they have a hard time keeping them in stock and yet he's never sold any to someone wanting to use them to actually cut carpet! He said, "It's like you ladies can smell them on the rack because they were just put out today and I'll be surprized if there's any left tomorrow."
