ACK! Just realized I spelled "raccoon" wrong, on my photo files! I made the typo on the first, then copied and just changed the number, for the others (there were three but the last one wasn't different enough, to post). I HATE when I do that!

We have raccoons that try to get into a special bird feeder. My Husband wrapped a wrapped a bungee cord around it. One of them got it off. We will never know how, it was tightly wound around it and the wooden post. I guess if I were hungry enough I would be able to do it. I do think about the wild life and food but, know I can't feed them.
Cute picture, he probably was standing on his tip toes.

I had trouble with a squirrel, sitting on one of the bird feeders and stuffing himself with black oil sunflower seeds. Found a squirrel baffle (Tractor Supply Co.) and that seems to have solved the problem. Funny thing is, I have five feeders and that's the only one he seemed to bother. Anyway, I wonder if it'd work as well, for a raccoon. This is the one I have - http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/stor...e?cm_vc=-10005
I have it sitting at the top of the pole, just beneath the feeder (the top of the baffle can be removed, to slide over the pole, instead of hang).

We have deer, raccoons, rabbits, armadillos, skunks, occasional coyotes, of course rats & mice, and lots of birds. Who knows what else is out there. This area is farmland (we don't farm, though). A few years back, some of the neighbor's cows got loose and were grazing here.
