When using the glue to baste the binding, does it wash out when washing the quilt? Does it make it hard to hand sew the binding?

Button idea is great but I use a glue stick to attach the button and don't have to wait to sew it on

Make sure you use washable school glue and it washes right out. Someone on the board mentioned that she needed warm water to get it all out. It doesn't seem to make any sewing hard.
