Another use for quilt basting spray :)
I bought the most comfortable pair of slip on shoes recently and started to regret that I bought them. Here was the problem...I wear trouser socks all the time (for work) and the slickness of the inside of my shoe rubbing against my socks, made my feet slip around in them, making them not so comfortable by the end of the day. So I thought to myself what can I use until I get some of those inserts???? ding ding ding....basting spray on the bottom of my socks. Works GREAT!!! LOL Who da thunk?? Just wanted to share.

however, basting spray is a petroleum based product and could be eating away at the fibers used to make the socks! Would be cheaper to buy a pair of those Dr Scholl things they make to prevent the sliding around!

Now, I'm confused. In another thread someone said that basting spray was a form of a starch and that was why it washed out so easily. I can't imagine a petroleum based product washing out.
