I have a chance to buy an antique treadle, that works well, have the serial #, need to find out what year it is. Parts I can get, it needs a belt, a little cleaning, oiling and will be ready to use. Would appreciate your help as all of you are so resourceful. I usually am but cannot get any where with this problem. Thank you.

Is it a Singer? It is pretty easy to get replacement parts for Singer treadles. Here's one site with vintage machine parts:
    http://www.tandtrepair.com/

It would help to know the brand and model # of the machine.
