We have cattle an have raised a few bottle babies and I have to agree with most everything that has been said. The one thing that the vet had told us is to make sure that you get the calf some colostrum as soon as possible.

Anyone ever try Imodium for scours? Works for humans. And maybe MMS for infections? I gave them to dogs, and my two cats get MMS every week, just a touch of my own drink.
Some years ago a dairy man we knew gave sister and me some of the females of a male/female twins, and we could raise them for beef. Being Holstein they made a lot of good meat.
Strangely enough, most folks don't or won't believe that the female in this twin mix would be sterile.
