    I had to remove one of my roosts. It was the highest roost, and they all preferred it over the lower roosts, because 2 chickens flew into one of the hanging feeders and broke their neck when getting down in the morning. The first one I considered an accident but when the second chicken did it I took out my saw and said 'good-by' to that roost.

    I'm so glad DH is going to lower their roost when he gets home tonight. I'm scared another "girl" will get hurt.

    I did call the vet, she said she didn't know much about chickens.
    Said to keep her quiet through the week-end. I explained about her being able to put a little weight on her leg while standing to eat, but limping otherwise. :?:

    Thanks to everyone's help.
    Bindi is doing fine today. we let her rest alone for a few days.
    She's walking fine now. I'm so happy & relieved! :-D :-D

    Thanks for the link, I hadn't heard of that forum. I'll have to go sign up!!

    I'm glad that Bindi is doing alright. Regular vets are no help when it comes to chickens and farm vets can't be bothered with them :?
