I'm fairly experienced with counted cross stitch, but now I'm doing my first stamped cross stitch project from a kit that didn't include a needle or instructions for choosing one. It looks like most of the stiches are worked with 3 strands of floss and the fabric is fairly closely woven--may be muslin. I'd appreciate any help with choosing the right needles.

I do counted cross stitch. For you answer, I would use a sharp one, that you would be confartable to thread the needle. I have a horibble time threading the needle.

The few times I have also used a large eye sharp. You need to be able to fit three strands but at the same time pierce the fabric. A regular cross stitch needle will not do the job.

    Can we see it?

I use an embroidery needle. They have a larger eye and a sharp point. I've done a couple of stamped cross stitch baby quilts. These seemto work just fine.

Use an embroidery needle can't go wrong with it.

There's not much to see at this point--just the picture that came with the kit. It's a pretty big piece so it'll take me a while to do it. I'll try to post as I go. BTW: I visited your webpage. You make very nice quilts!
