Thomas E Dewey - who ran for president against Truman!
I have a cousin who was a famous artist in Jamaica several years ago. She even designed sheet patterns for Sears one year! Rita Genet. I have one of her original oils that she did BEFORE she was a famous artist and totally changed her style of painting.

Not totally sure all of the relationships...George Herman (THE BABE) Ruth married my maternal grandfather's 1st cousin, my 2nd cousin is Chip Kell (University of TN football legen), my mother's family name is Hodgson...from England and is found everywhere in the country from flour mills to memorial highways, my husband's paternal grandmother was a Rollins, daughter to the Rollins-Orkin folks (still wondering where that money is?), Hubby's family name is Ubriaco, from Italy, and is related to Gene Ubriaco, the hockey coach and related to many known and unknown mafia folks.
Most important: I'm the proud moma to a soon-to-be captain in the United States Army National Guard!!

My Mother's last name was Faber, decendent of the Eberhard-Faber and Faber-Castel pencils. There is a Faber Castle that some of the Family still lives in on the Rhine River in Germany, or so I'm told. Another part of her family made Snuff. "Garrett Sweet Snuff"
