Default Any Ideas to Upcycle or Repurpose Leather Jackets?

Yesterday I bought two leather jackets in a thrift store for $1 apiece. I couldn't resist, thinking the leather could easily be reused in something else. Any ideas?

Maybe you could make purses out of them?

I was thinking purses or the such .... or maybe pillows. I also might be tempted to make UGG style slippers .... or maybe a wall hanging with the leather used in animals or something.

Take a look at member Geta's site. She has bags/purses with leather and faux leather in her bags section. http://www.cadouri-din-inima.blogspot.ca

I saved the leather from our old leather couch (from the back sections). I am hoping (one day ... my to-do list is long) to make placemats out of them. Thinking I'll just back them with a nice soft flannel, FMQ some designs, and bind with the flannel.

If nothing else - you could use the leather to make leather bottoms for handbags and leather handles.
