    Sorry, my research was interrupted. I'll work on it some more. There are a lot of "old school" armorers out there.

    leather suits of armour are seen at local medival and renaisance fairs. also at some comic book and fantasy book shows.

    Thanks lab,

    After reading up on all of it...I've decided to buy him a book and I've also printed off about 30 pages of info/resources etc.. It's very involved and he needs to be sure before jumping in....

    I only found ONE book even close to a " how to" make midevil leather armor... And leather isn't in the title ( I did read someone recommend it, so theres probably at least a chapt in there). > Techniques of Medieval Armour Reproduction: The 14th Century by Brian R. Price

    How very strange that there are no books on this subject..If I were a leather crafter, I'd write one lmao
