Any one work retail?

I worked at several type jobs, Computer at large Insurance co, electronics, sewing factory....my favorite were retail jobs....I worked in a store that I had to dip ice cream....the kids were fun....A small grocery, loved it met a lot of neighbors, small and large retail. Most of the time people were great...a cranky one is bound to happen. Most of the time people are wonderful....I loved talking to the people. I talked and worked at the same time.....I miss it

Wow! These stories are certainly amazing and thank you everyone for sharing.
Apparently I'm doing something right. I was hired on as seasonal help and now i'm permanent. I was also told that there is an assistant manager's position available and that they have already spoken to the district manager about me. Not to bad for 3 weeks work! Yeah for me :)
