Over the past two days I have had a red screen come up when I am on the QuiltingBoard, an it tells me that my McAfee virus protection has detected a trojan, and is closing down my access to this site.
I have been here at least daily, and sometimes more often since before I joined, and never had this happen.
It is usually when I am looking at posted quilt pictures, and after I go out, and wait a few minutes and come back, it is okay.
However, McAfee is telling me that it has found trojans and removed them.
Just wondering if others are having this same problem? :?:

There is another post in Chit Chat talking about these issues, and Admin's answer to them

OK, thanks, amma, I had looked earlier before I posted, and didn't find the other post, but I just went now and read it.
As long as I know I am not alone, and it is just another sleazy effort by twerps with nothing better to do than upset the applecart, I will rest easier.
To get interrupted with a bright red screen and dire warnings when I am feasting my eyes on someone's quilt made me see red in more ways than one!!

Check out the other thread on this. Admin responded. It is a trick to get you to sign up for their virus scan. But it will block yours, don't click on it no matter what. Just close it.

I got this same warning yesterday morning - right away I let my hubby take over - it was a trojan - and just like shaverg said - it mimmicks your protector, to get you to 'upgrade' your protection - DON'T DO IT - hubby did a scan through our server - quarantined it - deleted it - reset the computer to the day before - and all is well. I was looking at the Quilter's World website through a link on this board when I noticed my computer acting weird - real sluggish - and then that red warning box popped up - not wanting to mess anything up, I let my hubby take over - he's good at keeping my computer up & running!

As others have mentioned, here is the thread with the discussion about it:
