Love Barkeeper's Friend, cleans stainless steel beautifully, and also porcelain sinks that get silver marks from pots. The difference from Comet/Ajax is that BK friend has oxalic acid and is safe with septic tanks. Oxalic acid is great at removing rust stains in dishwashers, toilets, etc. I can get it here in Idaho at K-mart and local supermarkets. Great stuff!! There are some cautions: may etch some finishes.

Our Super Target stores carry it. Do you have a Target nearby?

    Odd man out as usual.

I use Bon Ami. Very similar, but I think it cleans better and absolutely no scratching, dyes, or odor. If I can't find anything else, I will use Bar Keepers.

Bon Ami has the little yellow chick on the front and it still comes in the 'can' type container with the holes in the top for shaking out. Works great on my smooth top range, bath tub, sinks, counters, etc.
