Debbie, Have you ever heard of Shaklee? They have a "Get Clean line," which has a very good Green laundry Concentrate, along with many other products. All their products are guaranteed or your money back. I have more information on all their products if your interested. Omar The Tent Maker.

Funny you should ask - I just went to the dermatologist yesterday because I have a horrible rash on my two index fingers. And it started before Christmas - I was making a fleece LSU blanket for Great Nephew and binding it with LSU cotton print that had not been washed. I kept putting neosporin on it but it just got worse. So now I have a prescription for a cream of some kind (haven't picked it up yet) that he said should clear it up in a couple of weeks. I hope so - it is ugly and painful! I almost never use fabrics without washing it, and that one I had used for a hurry-up Christmas present pillow case. Won't make that mistake again!

It depends where clothes and fabric is manufactured, but some areas use too much formaldehyde in the process of treating the product and this can cause irritation to those of us who are sensitive to mild irritants. this could be a source of your irritation and a good washing of the product may be in order.
Just check the ingredients of your normal products as well. An international pharmaceutical company took over the manufacturing of a once - Australian product that I use and the formula has changed. With all the price cutting etc. this may also have happened to your products. All the best with your sensitivity.

I am thinking that there is currently much less formaldehyde in fabric than there was back then.
