Anyone canning now?

At the end of our growing season last year I used up all of our green tomatoes with a green tomato relish, using the same recipe that I use for bread and butter pickles. I used finely chopped green tomatoes, onions, peppers, maybe even some zucchini if I had some left. It was delicious.

So far I have canned cherries, apricots peaches, blackberries & pickled beets plus made lots of jam. Done two batches of jam today of blackberries. The blackberries grow wild around here & I get the rest of my stuff from our gleaner group. The beets are the only vegies we have picked so far. Everything else is slow coming on cause it has been to cool here. Our group goes out & picks the leftover crops at no cost to us, just hard work picking everything, & donate part of our picks to help feed over 100 families. Still have green beans, carrots, peas & tomatoes left from last year canning so won't hurt us if we don't get a lot this year to can. Have my own plum tree, so will be canning & jamming them by next week. Will be getting more peaches on Friday. Will so be ready for canning season to be over soon.
