I probably wouldn't dig through boxes at a garage sale. Usually, I'm too much in a hurry to move on to the next sale. What I love, and what has worked for me is a $1 table, a $2 table, a $5 table, etc. And for clothes, a pile of grocery bags and a sign that says, everything you can fit into a bag for $3. Make sure each table had a big sign. But you kinda have to remember what things were on what tables or trust people to tell you where they picked it up.

Good luck with your sale.

I like the idea - but sometimes I have a personal treasure that I would hate to tell someone that they can't have.

But then, if it has been out in the garage, and I haven't looked at it for ages, it probably isn't one of my "better" treasures.

I sure am wondering how this works out for you.

I also prefer to have a price on an item - then I can take it or leave it.

The church my Mom used to go to (when she was alive) had something like that. They didn't call it a rummage/garage/yard sale, because people brought in things they no longer wanted, other people took them home, and if they felt like it, they left an "offering" for it.
